Straight answers
I’ll tell you when a repair isn’t worth it.
I don’t do board-level soldering work. On modern hardware that kind of repair is slow, fragile, and usually costs more than it saves — and you end up with an old machine that fails again six months later.
So when a fault runs that deep, I say so plainly, and price up the better option: recover everything off the drive, and put you on hardware that’s actually worth owning. You get the honest version, not the version that bills the most hours.
YESDiagnostics, part replacement, screens, batteries, drives, RAM, PSUs, fans and thermal work
YESData recovery from failing drives, and full migration onto a new machine
YESWindows repair, clean installs, driver problems, malware removal, slow-machine rescues
YESCustom builds specced to what you actually do — not what a shop wants to shift
NOMicro-soldering and board-level component repair — I’ll refer it or advise replacement
NOPadded quotes for repairs that won’t hold. If it isn’t worth fixing, you hear that first
How a job runs
The same four steps whether it’s one laptop or a ten-desk office move.
You describe it, I diagnose free
Call, text or email with the symptom. Most faults I can narrow down before the machine is even in front of me. Diagnosis costs nothing.
A fixed price, before I start
You get the fault, the fix, the parts and the total — in writing. Nothing is ordered or opened until you say go.
The work, with your data protected
Drive imaged before anything risky. Quality parts, tested properly, and a note of exactly what was changed.
Handover and aftercare
Set up, logged in, and working the way you use it. Parts and labour warranted — and if something is off afterwards, ring me.
